Concrete Breaking & Disposal

Concrete Breaking, Done with Control

Most of our removal work is commercial: tenant improvements, slab removal for new utilities, and slabs coming out so new footings and foundations can go in. What comes out is the slab or wall we cut, taken apart safely, every piece hauled away in our own trucks, and a site left genuinely ready for the next phase. Our highly trained crews use state-of-the-art equipment and techniques to break concrete out efficiently while minimizing disruption. And we’ve been doing it across the region since 1999.

Every project starts with a site evaluation: the age and condition of the concrete, proximity to buildings and utilities, and disposal options. From that we build a tailored plan, including controlled demolition techniques that sequence the work to avoid collapse, with temporary shoring like steel beams supporting remaining sections where needed.

We usually dice the concrete into pieces small enough to remove by hand or by machine, so very little dust gets into the air, with barriers up wherever the site needs them. And the concrete doesn’t go to waste: everything we haul away goes to a recycling facility.

On the commercial side, heavy-duty equipment (hydraulic breakers, excavators and hauling trucks) and years of experience operating it let us take out concrete of any size while protecting the areas around it. Residential jobs get residential care: as a family-owned business we understand your home is important to you, so our crews complete removal projects thoroughly and responsibly, with as little disruption as possible, and leave you with a clean site ready for your next project.

Breaking and haul-off pair naturally with our concrete cutting services. The same crews saw the concrete into manageable sections, break it out, and haul it away in our own trucks. One contractor, start to finish.

When You Need It

Concrete We Break Out & Haul Off

Mostly commercial, and mostly the concrete our own saws cut. If a slab or wall needs to come out, we break it out, haul it off and leave the site ready. These are the breaking and disposal calls we take most often across the Seattle-Tacoma area:

01

Tenant Improvement Removal

Slab and wall sections we cut for TIs, broken out and hauled off so the trades can move in, sequenced around the other crews on commercial schedules.

02

Slab Removal for New Utilities

Floor slabs cut and removed so new plumbing, electrical and mechanical lines can go in, diced small, loaded in our own trucks, trench left ready.

03

Slabs Out for Footings & Foundations

Existing slab sections removed so new footings and foundations can be dug and poured, without undermining the soil and structure around them.

04

Cut Walls & Structures

Walls, stairs and structures we cut, taken out in controlled sections with hydraulic equipment, plus excavation and removal of buried concrete.

05

Site Prep for New Concrete

Grading, leveling and compacting after removal, so the area is ready for new concrete pouring and installation.

06

Driveways, Sidewalks & Pools

When the job is residential: old driveways, sidewalks, patios and in-ground pools broken up and hauled away, with equipment that spares the lawn and landscaping.

Equipment & Techniques

Heavy Equipment, Handled With Care and Control

Our fleet is built for efficient demolition: excavators equipped with hydraulic hammers for precise demolition of slabs and walls, skid steers with concrete pulverizing attachments that crush concrete into gravel-sized pieces (often reusable on site as fill) and diamond blade saws that cut structures into manageable sections before removal.

Hauling and disposal is part of the service. The concrete is diced into pieces small enough to move by hand or by machine, loaded into our own trucks and taken to recycling facilities (all of it) and disposal and cleanup fees are included in our project estimates, so there are no surprises at the end.

Safety runs through all of it: proper protective equipment at all times, secured work sites that protect employees, customers and the public, best practices followed on every demolition project, and sequencing planned in advance so nothing comes down that isn’t supposed to, on time and to strict safety standards.

Only need part of the concrete gone? Precision cutting comes first: wall sawing for openings, flat sawing for slabs and core drilling for penetrations. Then we remove exactly what was cut, and the same crew can handle the trench pour-back.

How It Works

How Concrete Breaking & Disposal Works with Siler’s

A cut-only contractor leaves the break-out and the haul-off to somebody else. Siler’s cuts to your marked lines, breaks out the sections and hauls them off with one crew, so nothing falls between subs.

01

Free Estimate

Call (206) 901-9383 or send us the structure, size and site conditions. Estimates are free, and disposal and cleanup are included in the number we quote.

02

Evaluate & Plan

We assess the concrete’s age and condition, what’s next to it, and disposal options, then plan the demolition sequence, shoring and permits (handled by us, at no extra cost).

03

Break Out & Haul Off

Saws, hydraulic hammers and pulverizers take the structure apart in controlled sections; debris is diced small, loaded out and hauled to recycling facilities.

04

Clean Site, Next Phase

The area is graded, compacted and swept clean. And if a trench needs closing, the same crew handles the trench pour-back.

Sound Familiar?

✕  An opening that’s out of square, so the frame or the duct doesn’t fit.

✕  A second sub to schedule for haul-off, and a third for the pour-back.

We built our process to take every one of these off your plate. One call. One crew. One line on your schedule.

Breaking & Disposal FAQs

Your Concrete Breaking & Disposal Questions, Answered by the Crew

Mostly commercial: slab and wall sections we cut for tenant improvements, slab removal so new utilities can go in, and slabs coming out so new footings and foundations can be poured. We also handle residential removal (driveways, sidewalks, patios, slabs and in-ground pools) and the excavation, grading, leveling and compacting that prepare the site for whatever comes next. Partial removal behind a precision cut or a complete take-out, both are everyday work for our crews.

Yes. All of it. Every load of concrete we haul away goes to a recycling facility, where it is crushed for reuse as aggregate; pulverized concrete can sometimes stay on site as fill. None of it heads to a landfill, and all hauling and disposal is done in accordance with environmental regulations. It’s better for the environment and, on many projects, better for the budget too.

With planning and control. We evaluate proximity to buildings and utilities before work starts, sequence the demolition to avoid collapse, and install temporary shoring where remaining sections need support. Dicing the concrete into small pieces keeps dust out of the air, barriers go up as needed, and residential equipment is chosen to break up concrete without damaging lawns or landscaping.

Yes. All of them. We work with local municipalities and inspectors to have proper permits in place before any demolition begins, and we coordinate required inspections during and after the work. Permitting and inspections are included as part of our services at no extra cost to you.

Yes. We demolish the concrete shell and deck with excavators, break up the concrete, and transport it away from your property with our trucks, then the hole is backfilled, graded and compacted, leaving level, stable ground where the pool used to be.

Siler’s has been providing concrete demolition and removal services for more than two decades, family-owned and operating across Western Washington since 1999. Our crews are highly trained in safely demolishing and disposing of concrete structures of all sizes, using state-of-the-art equipment and techniques that keep noise, dust and disruption to a minimum.

Completely. We remove all broken-out concrete, debris and waste from the work site, load it into our own trucks and haul it to recycling facilities. Then the work area gets thoroughly cleaned (swept and vacuumed of remaining dust and debris) and left clean and clear, ready for the next phase of construction. All disposal and cleanup fees are included in our project estimates.

It depends on the structure’s size and condition, access, and how much material has to move. But the estimate you get is the whole picture: disposal and cleanup fees are included, permits are handled at no extra cost, and the quote itself is free. Call (206) 901-9383 and we’ll scope it with you.
